Giving Party
Simple Gifts Project can come to your school, church, nursery school or scout meeting and talk to the children about giving and community outreach. Children can collect toys and gift cards prior to the gathering. Simple Gifts will engage the children in activities that will include filling Smile BagsTM, and games that will promote giving. Simple Gifts will do all the set-up; all you need to do is collect toys/supplies and provide children to help out.
Cupcake Party
We have a unique fundraiser that is a "mini-course" on cake decorating. For a small cost of $5-10 per person, we will teach children or adults how to do simple piping, and chocolate work. Each student would be asked to bring 6 cupcakes to decorate, and we provide the rest. The profit from this party will be used to buy toys and supplies for Smile BagsTM. The group can also choose to collect new toys/gifts prior to the party.
Crafting Party
Do you like to do crafts? For a donation of $5 per student, we will bring a simple craft to be created by your children. They will make craft kits that have all the supplies to make the craft, so that patients can make it while they are in the hospital. The kids who make the kits will also be able to make the craft to take home. This activity can be altered to fit almost any age group and skill level.
Building a Library...one book at a time
Children who have to spend lots of time in the hospital are often bored and in need of things to occupy their time. What better gift is there than a great book to dive into? Your donation of money or a gift card will be used to buy books on many levels for the children to read during their stay.
Calling All Artists
Are you artistic? Would you like to help others as you create your beautiful artwork? Patients and their families want to stay in touch with family and friends with personal notes (not just texts and posts). We want to create stationary kits for families that include cards, envelopes, pens, stamps and stickers. However, we need your artwork to make those cards. You provide the artistic ability, and we will take care of the rest. Great for art teachers, art students, and art classes looking for a way to give back to their communities.
Kindness Coloring Books
We are so excited to have partnered with young artists from local middle & high schools to create original, unique, 50-page coloring books! Each page depicts what kindness looks like through the eyes of our talented teen artists. There are currently 5 different books to choose from! For a suggested donation, you can order a book for yourself or donate one to help fill a Smile BagTM today.
Donation Jar
This gift is especially designed as a way for young children or school aged students to give some of their own money to help out this great cause. We will drop off a donation Simple Gifts jar to your school, church, or community location. Children can fill up the jar with coins and loose change. The money will then be collected and used to buy toys or gift cards for the Smile BagsTM. In a school setting, we can drop off multiple jars, to place throughout your campus.
